Guest guest
Hi all; anyone deal with weight loss regularly? It's not something I have really dealt with at all in practice, and I was wondering about the clinical experience of people on this list: general principles / protocols, time required, major obstacles. Thanks, Hugo Send instant messages to your online friends http://uk.messenger.
Guest guest
Hey Hugo, I might be able to help. I picked up an acupuncture weight loss protocol whilst i was studying in Beijing. The protocol is in a Word document in the group's files section, see http://health.Chinese Medicine/file s/Articles/Acupuncture/ Otherwise, there are slimming teas and capsules you can prescribe as well. Feiyan tea is the most popular in the UK, its mild and works well. It's also good for digestive disorders such as IBS. It usually takes 3 months to see it work although some people see results in less time. The next strongest herbal products are the Shou Fu Jiang Zhi capsules. They work well with Feiyan tea. Takes around 2 months to work. The strongest ones i know of are Zhen You Mei capsules. These have a strong laxative effect and can make you go to the toilet when you least expect it. You should see results within a month. Generally, all these products suppress the appetite, increase metabolism and regulate the bowels. From a TCM perspective, the stronger capsules cause a spleen and stomach deficiency and loose stools. Excessive use of these slimming capsules can cause a Yin deficiency as well. Combined with regular acupuncture treatment and diet control (see fact sheet url below), effective treatment time can be reduced further. I also give out a weight loss fact sheet to my patients, see http://www.attiliodalberto.com/articles/Weight%20Loss%20Using% 20Chinese%20Medicine.pdf Attilio www.chinesemedicinetimes.com Chinese Medicine , Hugo Ramiro <subincor wrote: > > Hi all; anyone deal with weight loss regularly? > It's not something I have really dealt with at all in > practice, and I was wondering about the clinical > experience of people on this list: general principles > / protocols, time required, major obstacles. > Thanks, > Hugo > > Send instant messages to your online friends http://uk.messenger. >

Guest guest
Yes, Attillo: Great references. I am sure this issue is going to raise itself up again in January.
