Guest guest
Andrea: I have a student who recently had something similar happen. Her regular doctor sent her to an opthomologist who was connected with Johns Hopkins. I don't remember her using that syndrome name, but the symptoms sound very similar. She is also on prednisone. They are not saying 2 to 3 years but rather a few months - at least that is what they are saying. Now for the treatment. I may be treating her in the future. I know in her case she has been under a lot of stress with her home life particularly - feeling trapped in a situation that is not easy to get out of. So treatment wise. I would definetely do my Worsley treatments of ID's internal demons and then ED's external demons (in case it is coming from an external influence). I would clear heat AE or back shu points. Then in TCM I would go after the pattern. I think that's all you can d, is do what you know. Have her in treament and the practioner can be with her and do what they know. In my case I would look at points to reduce fluid and LR points to see what is going on with the eyes. Anything else the pulses or her 5E energetic is telling me. I may even do a Dr. Tan treatment and when you have options to choose points, choose the ones related to her presentation and symptoms. I hope this helps some, Andrea. Chris Vedler is in Scottsdale and someone else recently said they were in that area. Guest guest
Hi Anne, Thank you so much for your reply. My sister's symptoms also arose after severe stress - a burglar broke into her house while she was home, 2 weeks ago, and a week later the eye inflammation started. Suddenly she feels her whole life is out of control - she needs to move, and she can't see well enough to work, take care of her kids, or anything else. Liver and kidney, definitely. I found an acupuncturist near her home in Tempe who has treated other eye diseases, who can see her this afternoon. Right now, my sister's in a lot of pain and her vision has already deteriorated to the point where she can't read numbers on her cell phone. She stopped driving after almost hitting a stop sign 2 nights ago. A few months on prednisone for your student certainly sounds better than a few years! It is amazing how quickly any one of our bodily functions can deteriorate, and equally amazing how well most of them function most of the time. I don't often take pause to appreciate what we all usually take for granted as normal. Thanks again. I truly appreciate your thoughts. Guest guest
Andrea, I know quite a few people in the Tempe and Scottsdale areas that are very good. Depending on where your sister lives in this rather huge area and what her specific needs in a practitioner may be, i could help. Email me offgroup, if you wish.
