Guest guest
I have a new patient who came to me for sinus problems and a back Injury. As I took the initial intake, he told me that his left ring finger was about to become inflamed. He felt the signs and was sure it would happen in the next day or two. His finger will become hot and swollen. It will last about 3 days then go away. In a month or so, he will develop this same problem in another area, probably in his foot, which will have the same symptoms. He has had this occur most of his adult life. He asked if I was able to deal with that. Well, I treated him with acupuncture for Spleen/Lung and Kidney deficiencys as well as heat and wind. Well, his finger did get inflamed, but not as bad. It lasted less than 1 day and was less intense. The next day, he had an area on top of his right foot became inflamed for a day, then went away, then the following day, the palm of his right hand had inflammation that went away in a few hours. Has anyone come across this type of syndrome before? What is it? Lee
Guest guest
perhaps this could be gout? Your therapy might have alleviated it to some extent. Has he talked to his doctor about this? Guest guest
Has your patient taken corticosteroids for prolonged periods? Sometimes, this will make the capillary walls so thin that they can expand/burst, so there can be a hottish, painful swelling in the extremities that lasts a few days then resolves. Metagenics makes a great supplement called Venaplex, with Rutin and Horse Chestnut that is very good for maintaining the integrity of the vessel walls. --Melanie-- > As I took the initial intake, he told me that his left ring finger > was about to become inflamed.
