Guest guest
An Important Political Update: A legislative update this week for all you folks. As you know we have a new congress coming into session this January. Anyone who was voted out stays home after December break and the newbies come in. For everyone else it's business as usual with fresh scrubbed faces. Only with a new direction and new leaders in control of both the House and Senate, maybe it'll be a whole new business too. What definitely happens is that any bill left unvoted on will disappear. If the bill still has a sponsor then it can be re- introduced to the new body. That is what will happen to our HR 818 (The Federal Acupuncture Coverage Act). It will not get voted this December (most likely) and will in fact need to be re-introduced by The Honorable Representative Maurice Hinchey, who did win reelection. As you may have noted, Representative Hinchey has been very vocal in the past year speaking out for Veterans and our Soldiers currently serving in Iraq. This is not to say that he has forgotten about our cause but it certainly wouldn't hurt to send him a reminder of how much this bill means to each of us personally. Generally one would only send a note of support or dislike to one's own representatives. But in this case if you are able a note to Representative Hinchey about how much it would mean to you for him to re-introduce his bill would be extremely supportive. It wouldn't take much of your time and would send a huge message to Congress about how important this is not only to us but to our potential patients. If you do chose to send Representative Hinchey a note here are his five home office addresses (mail gets through faster to a home office than a Congressional office due to the extra screening in the Capitol Building): Middletown Office: Office of Rep. Hinchey City Hall, Third Floor 16 James St. Middletown , NY 10940 Binghamton Office: Office of Rep. Hinchey 100A Federal Building Binghamton , NY 13901 Kingston Office: Office of Rep. Hinchey 291 Wall Street Kingston , NY 12401 Phone: (845) 331-4466 Ithaca Office: Office of Rep Hinchey 123 S. Cayuga St. #201 Ithaca, NY 14850 Monticello Office: Office of Rep. Hinchey 18 Anawana Lake Road Monticello , NY 12701

Guest guest
me thinks that qualifies as an invective.
