Guest guest
Hi All, I saw my patient yesterday. Her tongue coat was still sticky, but now thin and white and on the dry side. The redness at the tip is also gone, with the color pale overall. I asked about sinus congestion - she has never had this problem except with colds. I also asked if she's seen a chiropractor, and she did for a full year after the headaches started. He told her that her C2 is rotated, and does not maintain its proper position. I shared with her some of the replies I've received from you all about the tonsillectomy and scarring. Then she told me about some very hard nodules in her neck which her previous doctors didn't care about. These are either surgical scars or hardened lymph nodules in her neck, slightly anterior to SI-17. They are indeed rock-hard, with the one on the right side significantly larger than the left side, and her headaches are also more pronounced on the right side, so I think we're on to something here. The nodules are quite tender and I needled them directly as well as some other tender areas around her jaw and ears and occipital region. The nodules were much smaller after the treatment, and we'll see if it impacts her headaches. I also recommended the whey protein powder and the vitamin C. I have not recommended Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang because she doesn't have intermittent fever and chills, nor Xiao Chai Hu Tang for the same reason. I am considering the variation of Huo Xiang Zheng Qi Wan recommended. Thank you all for your suggestions and help! ______________________________\ ____ Everyone is raving about the all-new Mail beta. http://new.mail. Guest guest
Hi Doc. Xu, Due to some family emergency, I haven't seen her in 2 weeks. I don't know how she's doing. Thanks for asking, and I'll keep the list posted when I see her again, probably some time next week. xu easterntcm <easterntcm wrote: Hi Andrea, how about your young patient with headache now?
