I have downloaded some of the Chinese data and constructed a file with the Pinyin names (not on the original Chinese file) + links to the Chinese data and Google Translation (needs considerable correction in Wenlin). I will add the Latin names and parts used later. Meanwhile, see http://homepage.eircom.net/~progers/chingovherbs.htm Happy hunting!

Guest guest
Hi Peter I wrote: >> I have downloaded some of the Chinese data and constructed a file with the Pinyin names (not on the original Chinese file) + links to the Chinese data and Google Translation (needs considerable correction in Wenlin). Phil Rogers Peter replied: > Phil, What a thorough, thought through, and dedicated work Thank you I found some errors in the data. Many files are duplicated and some refer to the wrong herb. For example: the file at http://www.ndcnc.gov.cn/datalib/2004/HerbalMedicine/DL/DL- 20040217111224/ is supposed to be for Bixie (and uses the characters for Bixie in the file) but refers to Smilax china root stalk (Baqia) I am editing those data and will merge them with data from another Chinese site [ http://bwg.bjucmp.edu.cn/jingtai/zhongyao/scripts/main_cyzy.htm ]. The amalgamated data will be overwritten on http://homepage.eircom.net/~progers/chingovherbs.htm but it will take some weeks to finish.
