Guest guest
Hi Dr. Nam Nguyen, wondering if you could talk more about this technique of using only one needle on sp6. And more about your treatments using only one point. What kind of needling technique do you use? Not just tonify and sedate question, but also what kind of style of acupuncture do you practice? In your theory below, the blood tranformation and transportation problem led to blood deficiency--some of the heat signs are then from a combo of blood stag and def, and dryness? And some of the damp signs, I am assuming, are from the spleen not being nourished by the blood, so not transporting and transforming properly? Just curious to take a step further, as your success in treating dyemen and amen with only one needle in only 1-3 treatments is fantastic, and I would like to learn some more.... Guest guest
Hi Dr. Austin, There would be no special techniques in Acupunctrue treatments. Everything I had learned should be no different from yours at all. All we have to do is to make sure each our diagnosis is precise, if the result of the treatment does not bring any result we shouldd try to change our look or our diagnosis. We have to look further for more key symptoms we might have left behind. The more accurate diagnosis may lead to improvements not aggravation or delayed healing. Let look at the signs and symptoms above with amenorrhea, or dysmenorrhea. Most signs are chronic and most chronic illnesses are internal or deficiency eventhough the deficiency are caused by excess conditions. If excess conditions are not serious, we may sedate and tonify at the simultaneously. However, there is no toniffication without sedation, nor sedation without tonification. This is the rule. Combination is a must in treatment in any case. There are a few keys : We must convert our herbal formulas into Acupuncture points. After that herbal formulas may help us to enhance our confidence in treatments. If the excess conditions are serious, refer our patients to their family physicians or having thorough check up or to the hospital. Sometimes our treatments for excess acute symptoms are too slow or we may have lack of experience and they are very dangerous if we ignore the situations. Other cases we may handle them beautifully. SP6 " Queen points " for woman : any problem dealing with blood. This is a convergent point of Liv-SP-Ki. Left point for energy, to transform and transport, moving = Right point for nourishing, to contain, holding and maitaining. I am sorry I have to go right now. I come back later.
