Guest guest
Hi David > Phil, ... Are you saying that Gangmeigen (Wan Dian Jin) doesn't have > a regulate as indicated in Chen's book? My notes (frrom WWW) put Gangmeigen in the " Qingre Jiedu, Clear Heat; Resolve Toxin " Class and not in the " Rectify Qi " class. See: http://tinyurl.com/yg6vqg [note the characters marked in red] In the actions and uses notes (sent earlier) there is no mention of Qi Stag as an indication. If others would like to correct this, please do so. > Or are you disagreeing with the dosage. The dosage you cite seems > more in line with the herb's usage in Gan Mao Ling than Chen's > dosage. The dose of 15-30g is from WWW. See: http://tinyurl.com/tdlan You may be correct that the dose of 30-60g refers to its inclusion rate with other Hbs in a formula. > I am not questioning your authority, just trying to get a handle on > how this herb works. Hey, David! I am no authority on herbs! I am only a long-term TCM/CHM student. My sources (for my notes) are mainly in English, Chinese (with the help of Wenlin & NJStar), and European languages (French, German, Italian, Spanish - with the help of Babelfish or Google Translate). All my mails to the List are for discussion / criticism by more expert members! > Many thanks for your knowledge and willingness to share on this > somewhat illusive herb. Sincerely, David I know pitifully little but I know how to find data if a question on the List interests me. When I get the data, I add a summary to my notes (all digital).
