Hi Everybody!

Are the expiration dates on Chinese Herbal Patent pills significant? Do you

die if you use expired meds, or do they do you no good, or is the expiration

date just a marketing tool? All comments welcome.

I have 256 bottles never opened, out of date between 8 months and 2 years. And

more on the way! Would this be useful to the third world practitioners who

have no meds at all?

Regards,

Pete

Depends if they contain something like Xi Xin, which can have

aristolochic acid build up over time. Mind you, this doesnt help any if

you dont know how long the raw herb sat around in the first place,

before being manufactured into pills.

I would say if you wanted to take them yourself, you'd probably be OK,

but I wouldnt sell them to your patients. (Most patients get a bit freaked

or at least feel ripped off if they get sold out of date meds.) ;)

Hi Lea!

Problem solved!

I called the Sarasota (FL) County Haz-mat facility. Bring it over 8 to 4

Wednesday through Saturday, no charge. Price is right, $5 in gas and it's

gone.
