Guest guest
I am nearing the end of school (april 07)and trying to decide where I want to set up practice. I've been considering Minneapolis/St Paul and want to know what it's like for an acupuncturist there. Zachary Nelms
Guest guest
Zachary, Nice to hear from you. Where are you currently located and what school are you attending? The climate here for acupuncture is mixed. If you have capital/business sense, find employment, or get lots of referrals, it can be good. People here tend to not want to pay for their health unless you get in with a good crowd. We also have the added problem of the 100 hr chiro acupuncture certification. They have been expanding their scope and have arrangements with the insurance companies thru legislation and we do not. Most US graduates in the area seem to be struggling, if my perception is correct and many work other jobs. What areas were you thinking? Oh, yeah, we also have a major traffic problem so travel into the cities is really bad. Other then that is OK. Come and check out the area and see if it will work for you. Mike W.
