Hi - I'm Janis and have been practicing acupuncture

for 3 years. My previous experience is Medical

Technology, worked in community hospitals for almost

20 years, progressively advancing in laboratory

medicine. Next I worked in the pharmaceutical

industry working with engineering, medical,

regulatory, clinical education, legal, marketing, etc,

providing answers to customer questions that had not

been previously investigated.

 

I have always been interested in alternative ways and

have a knack for postitive patient relationships. I

am now back in my home town after 32 years of

expansion and successfully integrating with the local

hospital, providing acupuncture to the community. I

am the only acupuncturist here. Since I have

relatively less experience than many practitioners, I

am hoping to get good advice from this group and learn

from others.

 

Currently I am looking for smoking cessation

protocols. The population is quite conservative, but

feel acupuncture will be successful - I have no

experience with which to offer confidence and hope to

receive some suggestions from this forum.
