Guest guest
My dog has been to see a vertinarian acupuncturist and herbalist and was prescribd herbs, which I asked for as I am an herbalist and acupuncturist for people. I called the company who processes the formulas and was a little surprised that they grind raw herbs and put them in the formula. For people we always cook the formula together or in my practice I use concentrated granules, so the herbs are generally cooked. Is it typical to use raw ground herbs for animals? What effect does this have. My dog seemed to do worse in terms of her skin itching although seemed calmer. I did ask and was given the formulas so I know what herbs are in them. Does anyone have any info on this? On a similar note if I wanted to use concentrated granules is there a problem with this? Are there any herbs that you do not give the dog? Thanks for all the help. I love getting the posts and hearing how others are thinking and what you are doing. This is my first post and of course it would be related to my animal. I will follow up with the veterninarian and also share my concerns. Thanks alot! Brigette
Guest guest
I know that Mayway has a veterinary reference guide, and they are the same formulas as we use with humans (eg, i used ba zheng san for my dog recently). they give dosages according to size, and you can get either Plumflower teapills, powder, or tablets. hope that helps!
