Guest guest
I am a student of TCM and will be graduating in the next few months. I am interested in working overseas, particularly Italy, Spain, New Zeland. I have been looking for information about practicing in these areas and have found little if no info. Does anyone work in these countries and have any advice, input? I know that the working under an MD is a requirement in the EU which is ok as I am very interested in integrating Eastern and Western medicine. Any suggestions about how to start networking? Thanks for any/all input!

I don't know of a European country where you MUST work under an MD, but I know that in Italy you have to be an MD in order to get a license to practice acupuncture. Don't know about Spain. Tom. Guest guest
Countries which follow Napoleonic law only allow doctors to practice acupuncture and herbal medicine. I believe these countries include France, Italy and Spain. For a regular acupuncturist or herbalist to practice in these countries, you have to practice with a western medical doctor, either in their clinic or with their authority.
