Guest guest
Thank you all for your thoughtful responses. Re: diet that was my first thought as well, however she has worked extensively with nutritionists and other health care practitioners in the past and has radically altered her diet. Her diet is extremely restricted- she was tested for allergens and currently has no allergen causing foods in her diet. She has already done an elimination program, however I am definitely considering doing this again. She is gluten intolerant. She did not tolerate San Qi well, however I may modify the formula with additional herbs to stop rectal bleeding and try again. She has been doing very well on the mushrooms and has had significant relief. I am sensitive to the fact that mushrooms can be an allergen, and we may remove elimination style and then add back in. However, my sense from the weeks that I have seen her is that the mushrooms have been extremely helpful. I will carefully review all the information you have provided and decide how to proceed from here. BTW, if it was unclear in my first post, she has a colostomy bag, and thus her rectum is not connected to her digestive tract. Thank you all - any additional thoughts are very welcome.
