Guest guest
Hi All, See free online English-Chinese Medical Dictionary from Veterans' General Hospital, Taipei, at: http://dict.vghtpe.gov.tw/search.php It can be searched in US English, for example anemia, but it returns nothing for the UK spelling: anaemia. Its terms are those of conventional medicine and it has little on TCM terms. Underneath the search box, selecting the button on the LEFT [Wanquan Fuhe] returns only the exact match, whereas selecting the button on the RIGHT [bufen Fuhe] returns multiple terms that include the search word. Guest guest
Hi All, & Jason, > Phil, Have you come across a good Chinese to English online medical > dictionary (western or Chinese medicine?) ?thanx, -Jason I use Wenlin & NJStar software (on my hard drive). As regards online Chinese-English dictionaries for medical / TCM terms, apart from Wiseman's PD [ Chinese Medicine/Practs/3.%20ce%20Chinese- English%20Dictionary%20of%20Chinese%20Medicine.pdf ], I have found no top class resources. However, the following are useful: http://sunrain.net/r_cedict_e.htm and http://www.mdbg.net/chindict/chindict.php?page=worddictbasic If any of you have found better ONLINE resources, please post the URL to the List. Guest guest
Hello all who can or are learning Chinese, Here are some websites that that you may find useful: http://www.popjisyo.com/WebHint/Portal_e.aspx http://www.chinese-tools.com/tools/converter-tradsimp.html http://www.wujue.com/guji/guji.htm You can enter URL's into the first site first site and then read the text with the meaning " popping " up as you move the mouse over it. Not as good as Wenlin but OK. The second converts trad. to simpl. The last has online TCM texts including Huang Di Nei Jing Su Wen and Ling Shu, Shang Han Lun, etc. (from which you can copy and paste the URL into popjisyo) Enjoy! Not as good as Wenlin but OK. Also, check out Hanzibar mentioned below. The second converts trad. to simpl. The last has online TCM texts including Huang Di Nei Jing Su Wen and Ling Shu, Shang Han Lun, etc. (from which you can copy and paste the URL into popjisyo, Wenlin or use Hanzibar) I should also mention http://realimaginary.com/HanziBar/ This is a live dictionary application. It is better than popjisyo but costs $10.00 USD. And, for those who type Chinese: http://www.sinomac.com/QIM/index.php That's all for now.
