Hi Kay!

I have not had such a patient since internship, but while in school we

treated such cases with 7 star needle, just tapping enough to stimulate,

not breaking the skin. It doesn't really hurt. Your mileage may vary,

our patients got better.

Of course, herbal remedies may also be used. Don't have the Jake Fratkin

book right with me, but you probably have one yourself.

Aloe Vera is God's gift to eczema sufferers. It definintely stops

the itch, nourishes. Use it liberally. Try the plant first. Scrape

the gunk out of the plant and place directly upon legs with gauze

wrap. You can slice the plant open and simply affix to the legs with

gauze so that it isn't soaked by the gauze but by the legs.

If you can't get the plant, try the gel and the juice in that order.

Follow aloe with Tamanu oil, Rosehip seed oil and coconut mixture. 1

part Tamanu, Rosehip seed, three parts coconut.

Allow legs to soak in aloe vera gauze overnight. Use oils in day.

Bob Flaws (Blue Poppy) has a Stop Itch Tincture. You might look into that for

topical relief.

Many thanks to all of you who offered insights and suggestions

regarding this case. I'm still searching for an herbal formula,

preferably in liquid form, appropriate for the child.
