Guest guest
A lymphoma patient of mine related to me a story her Doctor told her about a medical student he knew who was diagnosed with a lymphoma who bought some chinese herbs mail order. The herbs made her so sick she needed to be hospitalized. After she got over that the lymphoma was gone. The woman than quit medical school and went to jeruselam to study healing. It is now believed that some cancers, I believe lymphomas for example, are caused by viruses? This is astounding! If this is true, the next logical step than is clear the virus and clear the disease. Well, if it were only that simple. But maybe it is? This raises for me the holy grail of - how to clear latent pathogens. Conventional med. Certainly does not have the answer. Can anyone point me to a good article on the subject. It may not be the holy grail of OM but it is an interesting question. I just want to know what is possible. Alex Berks L. Ac. Guest guest
wen bing xue...If in English your best bet would be Liu Gouhui's book on the topic, I believe. The Australian journal The Lantern featured at least one article on the topic- if I remember well written by . On the topic of cancer, I recently bought the book " Management of Cancer with " by Li Peiwen It is a very good book. Guest guest
Alex, You might also read Kiiko Matsumoto's text, " Clinical Strategies " vol 1, where she discusses the importance of abdominal reactions that correlate with immune findings. I think she has done an incredible job at creating a more integrative understanding that we seek. When you read that this area is located near the infamous appendicts and is also checked with other areas (located in neck and near lymph nodes) it kind of makes sense. It also makes sense then that a San Jiao point might also have a therapeutic goal of lessening this. This is what makes it so much fun. I used these concepts with many and had great success, even with a chronic RA patient or a rare viral CHF one. Mike W. Guest guest
I treat many cancer patients and I think this is a good story to illustrate the dangers of self medicating and why a person should see a licensed acupuncturist. The question is which herbs? And how much? What is she on now? What problems was she experiencing before the herbs? What problems now? This is where we fit in - to avoid drug-herb intervention and avoid people from self-medicating.
