Guest guest
Well, after many years of picking at my cuticles, it seems they have just settled into a sorry state. They peel and bleed and look just horrid. The skin, as it attaches to the nail is very thin, almost not a cuticle any longer. It is not that they are dry and need moisturizing, I don't think. It is more that the skin needs to thicken and learn to detach from the growing nail as a healthy cuticle would. I hope I have made myself understood. I don't know where to turn for help with this. What should I do, oh wise ones? Thanks for any help in making my cuticles healthier (and less shameful). Phyllis

Guest guest
Phyllis, I had your very same problem and here is what I did and still do. Take 1/2 cup each of hydrogen peroxide, and cool water. poor into a pale that's large enough to fit both hands. I then soak them for about 10 minutes, I do this two or three times a week . you will be amazed at how not only this method will loosen your cuticles from the skin, your nail tips will get so pretty that one would think you've visited your nail salon.
