Guest guest
I went for a long over due eye exam today and the Dr asked me how my cholesterol was. Apparently (I never knew this) but he was able to see that my cholesterol was high by looking in my eyes. I already know that my numbers are high but, never thought my eyes would tell on me. Guest guest
ya know Kenneth, that amazes me..... about the eye doc being able to '?see' your cholesterol I have been under the care of a specialist eye doctor this past month..... who was aware, from the referral, that my MRI was irregular...... she actually let it slip during a conversation that 'they' should be looking for MS............... (that was no secret to me) however she did ask me what had been told me during previous visits to neurologists regarding my 'wonky' MRI's...... when I told her the neurologists (two different ones) had stated I did NOT have MS.... my brain (holes) problems were because my cholesterol numbers were too high...... she shook her head in disbelief! The cholesterol con goes on and on and on and on........ there does not seem to be a branch of medicine that does not ascribe problems to high cholesterol numbers.... and wants to prescribe statin medications...... even to our littlest membrs of the human species...... our babies! Thanks for your comments. Clare in Tassie who is still fighting eye problems..............
Guest guest
I hope he gave you some LIPITOR? Wonder if he was right - you believed him of course? Guest guest
Ken, seriously you are aware that Canola oil is in most commercially produced products these days and directly causes macular degeneration? This could be what he was seeing? Jane - Jane MacRoss Saturday, July 26, 2008 11:24 AM Re: Today's eye exam... I hope he gave you some LIPITOR? Wonder if he was right - you believed him of course? Guest guest
Nope, won't take the lipitor even if he gave it to me. I was on crestor at one time a couple of years back but I stopped taking it after a while. I know my numbers are higher then (what they claim the numbers should be) but the surprise was that the eye doctor saw the cholesterol in my eyes. He did ask me if I was taking any thing and I told him no, I wasn't. He asked me why. I told him I was trying to bring the numbers down using holistic ways. But I am not so sure that is working. Still, I am not too overly worried. Meanwhile I am going back to wearing bifocals. I haven't worn classes in years (I am stubborn) even though I should be wearing them. I have a lazy eye that I have had since I was a babe. I sit at the computer A LOT and I am getting eye strain. My stronger eye takes over most of my reading. Guest guest
I didn't think of that! Thanks for the information, Jane. I do, unfortunately eat one of the worse foods that they mass produce. I eat Ramen noodles quite a lot. I have been known to eat 2 packs a day at lunch time. Even though I eat the two packs, I only use 1 pack of the seasoning mix. WAY too much sodium using 2 packs. The stuff is addicting. I know I shouldn't eat them so much (if at all) I just do. Quick, cheap meals are what will kill the human race. :^( Kenneth T - Jane MacRoss Friday, July 25, 2008 22:14 Re: Today's eye exam... Guest guest
Kenneth - eat the noodles - but get a decent Tamari to have with them? That is just as good and no MSG? Throw the seasoning away! Jane PS Happy Birthday Ken - hope you have a great day! The duck - Kenneth Saturday, July 26, 2008 12:30 PM Re: Today's eye exam... I didn't think of that! Thanks for the information, Jane. Guest guest
Have you ever heard of iridology? A dr. looks into your eyes and can see everything going on in your body from vitamin/mineral deficiencies to stress. I even had the the dr. tell me once that my bowels were moving too slowly...she was right. I love iridology! It's a wonderful non-invasive way to know what's going on. , " Kenneth " <plisca wrote: > > I went for a long over due eye exam today and the Dr asked me how my > cholesterol was. > Apparently (I never knew this) but he was able to see that my cholesterol > was high by looking in my eyes.
