Guest guest
Hello All- I am searching to see if anyone else experiences this? Last summer I worked for 6 weeks as a cook at a summer camp. Very hot and humid. My ears started to plug up- Starting with what I could hear as fluid- And then making my hearing muffled- And sometimes even the outer swelling and very tender to the touch. The Dr said swimmers ear- And I questioned it because I had NOT been swimming- They put me on steroids and antibiotics- Which helped but never completely cleared my ears back up. I went to rechecks and he looked in my ears and didn't see anything- But I still had that plugged feeling. By the time the summer was over and I was back at home- My ears cleared up the rest of the way. This year- I am not cooking at the summer camp- And I was swimming a lot. And yes-same thing. Ears plugged. I can tilt my head back and feel the "goop" moving inside my ears- And with my head tilted a certain way-I get clear hearing- Then when I sit back up- All muffled again. Again-Dr. Says swimmers ear- Gives me antibiotic and swimmers ear drops. Has anyone heard of such a thing? Any home remedies? Thanks for your time. Guest guest
For swimmers ear you can first use some ear wax remover that you can buy in drug store, then a few drops of rubbing alcohol to dry up the fluid. But make sure that you don't have a punctured ear drum before putting the alcohol in. If you don't have any punctures then the alcohol should dry out the ear. You may have to do this every time you swim. Samala, Renee ---- Has anyone heard of such a thing? Any home remedies?
Guest guest
Try ear candling. Go to a good health food store. Use Hydrogen Peroxide on Q-Tip for general cleansing per book the Hydrogen Peroxide Miracle. -------------- Original message ---------------------- " lr " <myplace1 > > > > > Hello All- > > I am searching to see if anyone else experiences this? > > > > Last summer I worked for 6 weeks as a cook at a summer camp. > > Very hot and humid. > > My ears started to plug up- > > Starting with what I could hear as fluid- > > And then making my hearing muffled- > > And sometimes even the outer swelling and very tender to the touch. > > The Dr said swimmers ear- > > And I questioned it because I had NOT been swimming- > > They put me on steroids and antibiotics- > > Which helped but never completely cleared my ears back up. > > I went to rechecks and he looked in my ears and didn't see anything- > > But I still had that plugged feeling. > > By the time the summer was over and I was back at home- > > My ears cleared up the rest of the way. > > > > This year- > > I am not cooking at the summer camp- > > And I was swimming a lot. > > And yes-same thing. > > Ears plugged. > > I can tilt my head back and feel the " goop " moving inside my ears- > > And with my head tilted a certain way-I get clear hearing- > > Then when I sit back up- > > All muffled again. > > Again-Dr. Says swimmers ear- > > Gives me antibiotic and swimmers ear drops. > > > > Has anyone heard of such a thing? > > Any home remedies? > > > > Thanks for your time. > > Lori Hello All- I am searching to see if anyone else experiences this?
