Guest guest
Allow me to point out that Politics is unfortunately at the heart of hundreds of millions of people's illnesses and ailments, especially neurodegenerative afflictions as well as cancer, given the rampant corporate abuse of human health with new ghastly concoctions to add to food, drink, and medicine. I take my Health and Healing Efforts to the New Mexico Legislature, where we have tried to ban aspartame and to create a New Mexico Nutrition Council, with express statutory powers to challenge the FDA when necessary. I also wrote a Resolution about Getting Aspartame's FDA approval rescinded by the Commissioner for the Hawaii Senate: you can read it on the Hawaii Legislature website as Hawaii Senate Resolution 191, 2008. Make no mistake: if we had a real FDA and a real Commissioner under the next President, whomever that will be, we would actually begin to heal the world, and quite rapidly at that. Gandhi said that Politics was Life, and I almost always agree with Mohandas, whatever the subject. Someone in this group told me, apparently mistakenly, that if you put Off Topic in the subject line, there would be no problem; readers could choose to ignore it if they wished.... I am growing familiar with your point of view. Yours is not an imperious demand. Just remember that Big Pharma and the polluting multinational corporations are well organized, have deep pockets, no aversion to discussing political matters when it protects their financial interests, and in fact hire enormous numbers of lobbyists to defeat views like mine and most of the members of this group. I only point out that FDA/Politics connection is pervasive and all encompassing. That is why I post what I do. If these concerns are unacceptable to you as Moderator, I will not post anything; I have my hands more than full with the massive projects I have taken on. Finally, I welcome responses from Individuals, especially those who might take the time to spark up Legislation and Resolutions in your respective states and nations, no matter what the focus or subject is, if it pertains to human health, preventive medicine, and consumer protection!
