Guest guest
It should be debated a long time before we destroy the Arctic. Some how I just cannot fathom it. I keep remembering 40 yrs ago my Chiropractor at that time told my husband and I that he had read in Popular Mechanics that a man had made a carburetor that would take a Cadillac 50 miles to the gal. At that time a Caddie was huge, all made of metal I think. It was no small car. He also said that Standard oil bought the patent. This is how they keep these things off the market is also what he said. I am just thinking it right now, how could we be so dumb. this whole Gas price thing, is none other than a way to get their foot into the Actic, and destruction. How anyone could go into the area and watch the killing fields I will never know. Even if there was oil pouring out of a mountain I would think if we could save on the pollution, we would do it, not buy the patent and stash it. Just think they already have the technology to make our cars go 50 mi a gal. There was a time when I thought the government took care of us. Now I know that we are incidental to things that make money . There is nothing more important than the top 1`% pocketbook. Imagine a government who hand in glove take care of the Corprotocracy, that is a union made in heaven. At one time out in Comptche Ca. we were out picking blackberries on the side of the road, and a woman came out and yelled to us that the county had just sprayed the berries. stupid me kept right on picking them, I just knew the County would not put some spray on them that would hurt us. I was eating them anyway as fast as I could while we picked. Those were the days. The day of innocence sharonVote for your city's best dining and nightlife. City's Best 2008.
