Hate to burst your bubble, but apparently most of these "50 Lies" that Obama supposedly said are actually not lies at all, depending on how literal you care to get about some of them. The bottom line is....most of these 50 lies are not lies at all. Instead, the person who put together this hateful list was the liar, and did it to stir up trouble, knowing full well that it would get passed on. And it did. Check out the TRUTH on each of these 50 so-called lies. I did. http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/50lies.asp The point I would like to make about this, (and this is NOT picking fault with you alone, Tina), is that it is way too easy to pass on information that one sees on a website, or on a blog or forum, or in the mainstream news, or in a forwarded email, or whatever, and never take the time to actually check out the validity of it! We have all fallen prey to these types of lies and dis-information at one time or another. But taking just a few minutes to check out your information, via a site like snopes, or finding other sources to either refute or validate that information one has found, helps each of us be much more informed. It will also put a stop to mindlessly posting and/or forwarding this type of garbage so that others aren't duped, and we can all feel much better about ourselves for stopping it dead in its tracks. This syndrome, I believe, is derived primarily from being force-fed the vomit our mainstream media feeds us...regurgitated lies our government has told them to feed us. They are told exactly how to spin these stories to convince the public, their prey, that their lies are truths and the truths are lies. By seeking out independent news sources outside of the mainstream media, it could certainly open up your mind to a lot of truths being covered up or spun by mainstream. May I suggest the following to help bring you up to speed on what is REALLY going on in the real world...without all the lies. www.democracynow.com/ They do a daily (m-f) live show, as well as the availability of show archives to watch or listen to at your convenience. http://www.legitgov.org/ http://www.truthout.org/ Also, there are a few of us who glean more pertinent articles every day from these and other reliable new sources, and post them at she-who-remembers/. The archives there go back to 1998. You will find a whole array of articles on just about any controversial topic you can think of, concerning happenings around the world. However, that one comment in your response tells me that you accept: lies are just silly and keeping up with some of the politics isn't necessary because: all is well!! I've got news for you. For the very reason that we are , and have been. lied to with lies of such huge proportions, we are reeling Tina. It has taken decades for many lies to be accepted as such. Nobody wants to believe that those we thought would keep an eye out for us, deceived us. Laws and more laws to hide to us, the silly people, what they are doing to mankind. We are hanging in by the skin of our teeth. Our safety as a person is in grave danger through the ongoing and worsening assaults through medicine/doctors/medical care, the food chain, the air. Our physical safety through looming wars, our mental freedom (ever heard of the slogan: a war on for your mind?) . Guest guest Posted June 8, 2008 Report Share Posted June 8, 2008 I don't judge people by their color, sex, political views, religion and so on and so forth. I try not to judge people at all. But... She is someone's mother, daughter, (maybe) sister, and/or wife. She is a human being and regardless of her political views deserves to be treated as a person not someone to degrade because of her views (or any other reason). I don't like any of the three top contenders for this political "head figure" job. The one I like isn't even mentioned hardly at all. All said and done, I think the best political applicant is one who is not a politician or a multi millionaire business tycoon. But then who am I to say anything. Flame me if you wish but I do not hear very well and you will have to forgive me if I don't feed the fire any more then I just did.
