Variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (vCJD) is the "mad cow" disease that people contract when they are exposed to food contaminated with bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE). As of November 2006, 3 individuals with mad cow disease had been identified in the United States. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) monitors the incidence in the US of all types of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease. First of all one of my dearest friends in the state of Oregon lost her son-in-law to this disease, it was the first reported case in Oregon in humans. He was a sales executive, loved steak.

 

Secondly another acquaintance worked at Oregon Health Sciences University OHSU in Portland when this happened. She could not discuss this case with me, but my friend could. It is documented that the wild game that migrate through from Canada to the USA and back again to Canada are infected (small percentage) with this disease. It is not epidemic as yet. Our food supply is gravely compromised. Anyone who doubts that better wake up and smell the coffee. Disease in animals is escalating and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that will trickle down to us sooner or later. Be very careful. Make sure of your meat sources. I gave up meat years ago, but every now and then love fish from selected waters and occasionally organic chicken tenders. My taste for these is getting much more conservative these days. I don't trust anyone or anything when it comes to the food supply. Even the organic food chain is contaminated and it makes me mad. The safest way to make sure you are getting good organic food is to buy organic seeds and grow organically yourself.

 

It's a matter of time before this ticking bomb breaks wide open in the USA. There have been many cases reported in Europe. I only bring this up to help others know what is going on, many of you already know this.
