Falun Dafa, a form of meditative exercise persecuted/banned in China

A form of meditation, practised by over 100 million Chinese people,

banned. Could anyone speculate about the reasons why? (serious

question, I haven't got an answer)

Falun Gong is more than exercise. It is also about enlightenment. It

was banned because of it's perceived dissident content in its philosophy.

Yes, enlightenment is what I don't question, stillness of and in the

mind creates..

You mean to say that the regime was afraid it would lose the

ability to indoctrinate the masses because of the enlightenment?

In short, yes. Deeper in their philosophy is an ideology that is

against a centralized form of control be it physical, mental or

spiritual. Banning it is obviously a form of thought police.

 

It seems to me that the USA is doing the same thing against religious

groups who are self-armed (e.g., the Davidians), or choose the ancient

practice of marrying right after puberty (e.g., FLDS). Whatever the

excuse, a central government with unlimited power will always resort

to such form of oppression against the people.

 

Time has come for those of us living in US/UK.

They are not against centralized form of control

as long as it is them(the government) which is the control factor.

Hi Jane, i believe you are right - but there are other reasons too:

(1) One of the alphabet soup has the monopoly in the drug market,

making it illegal makes them tons of money (greed = money?)

(2) We have known Hemp to have medicinal qualities (e.g., Hemp Oil

cures cancer and other ailments) so, the Big Pharmas don't want that

competition.

 

It is appalling to me that a natural plant should be banned. Yet,

nothing surprises me any more...

But anything that clears the vision - is banned - lol - CY, LSD, Hemp -

Salvia Divinorum - none of them are permitted - lest we see the world with

Spiritual clarity ......... not sure if the other " addictive drugs " are

elevating or not ...........

I noticed the Roundup billboard which says it kills dandilion and thistle.

These are 2 plants that grow wild and have nutritional value and a potential

market that could grow. (supply creates it's own demand) Some say hemp

may fall into this category. They don't like things that they can't

control.
