When I help my friend use the ear candles, she feels they are working because she can hear so much better afterwards, sounds are crystal clear. That's probably the key, whether hearing is improved, and not so much what you can see inside the used candles. She also sees the dark wax and also the white residue, which she believes is candida. She used the candles on me, but I only wanted the experience, I did not feel as though I needed to clean my ears. And, there was very little wax to be seen in the candles, as compared to what we saw after using them in her ears.

When I was considering whether to offer ear candling as a service to

my

clients, I did quite a bit of experimenting, which included burning

the

candle without ear insertion, and, as some have reported, there was

wax

residue resembling ear wax exactly the same as in the cone I had used

on my test subject. Naturally, I was disappointed, but when you

consider

how powerful the suction would have to be to actually pull ear wax

out

of your ear, there would likely be some damage to the eardrum.

I've done it quite a few times and although some say it doesn't work

my

question is why is the wax at the bottom of the candle the exact same

color as ear wax if it doesn't work? And maybe I'll stock up on ear

candles while I still can. Anybody know which are the best? p.s.

you

shouldn't do it alone and I " ve burned some clothing doing this and

people have had serious accidents too.

The ear candles I use are white and the stuff inside is yellow and looks like wax. How could it not be the ear wax? From: bluegreensolutionsDate: Sun, 18 May 2008 13:39:00 +0000 Re: ear candles

The wax you see at the end of burning is the leftover residue from

burning the candle. Nothing comes out of your ear. You will note

that all the ear candles are the color of ear wax.

I always take a paper plate and put a hole in the middle then put the candle in the hole. That way if any of the burning candle falls it will fall on the plate and protect your clothes. From: mommyon731Date: Sun, 18 May 2008 18:31:05 +0000 Re: ear candles

Here's what THEY think about ear candles. (Who the hell cares what "they" think?) This isn't even the government's business. I don't see anything that even closely resembles a scientific study disproving the effectiveness of ear candles. But of course "eliminating the competion" and alternatives is basic economics when the regulatory agencies are in bed with big pharma.

All the candles that's I've seen in my area are yellowish, and they

are waxy, shaped like a regular candle, but hollow.

I had to take my mother in to the walk-in clinic one day to get the

wax out of her ears, and while I was there I had mine checked and he

told me I had no wax in my ears and didn't need it done. The next day

I went with a few of my girlfriends to a HFS where they were doing ear

candling, and we all decided to have it done. We all got the exact

same amount, and same color, of junk leftover in the candles -

including me, who didn't have any wax in there to begin with. So what

was that? And why would all 5 of us end up with the same leftovers?

The other 4 girls reported that they could hear no better than before

it was done.

There is also the possibility of burning your eardrum. Be careful.

This is how it was for my daughter and everyone she tried it on - so there

seem to be two results - one with wax of a different colour to the actual

candle and one where there is only candle debris. Guess it depends on the

condition of the ears!

I'm burning one right now in a coffee cup with the bottom pinched closed.

One thing I've realized as a Ron Paul supporter is don't ever trust the

" experts " unless you apply some logic and common sense to what they're

saying. (and follow the money)

Is it common sense or logical to pinch the end closed in something that is

intended to produce a gentle suction as a tube in order to either relieve

pressure or remove debris from an ear canal? Doing that proves nothing and

does nothing!

RESULTS:

drum roll please...

The amount of white powdery stuff was about the same as usual. And I was

surprised to find several dark brown balls of hard wax too. Maybe slightly

darker than ear wax. But this isn't NEARLY the amount of brown wax I get

when I do an ear candling. There's 10 to 20 times more usually. But the

small amount of brown wax was surprising.
