I've been reading up on ear candling and looks like they're trying to ban them in Australia, Canada and the UK if they haven't already. I've done it quite a few times and although some say it doesn't work my question is why is the wax at the bottom of the candle the exact same color as ear wax if it doesn't work? And maybe I'll stock up on ear candles while I still can. Anybody know which are the best? p.s. you shouldn't do it alone and I"ve burned some clothing doing this and people have had serious accidents too.

Although I haven't tried it my daughter burned one of the candles and said the wax appeared exactly the same out of her ear as when she burned it in her ear.

We can still buy them here in Oz.

The wax you see at the end of burning is the leftover residue from

burning the candle. Nothing comes out of your ear. You will note

that all the ear candles are the color of ear wax.

In which case the practitioner who originally treated my daughter must have

not known what she was talking about as she showed my daughter the wax and

said " Look at how much has come out of your ear! "

I have done ear candling for years and it is a wonderful painless way of

cleaning out your ears. The best kind of ear candles are beeswax and they

are kind of expensive.

You would be surprised at what comes out of your ear.. BTW forgot to

congratulate you on becoming moderator!!! Congratulations!

When I do it, the ear wax is a dark peachy color...not at all the

color of the candle that I use.
