Guest guest
As Jane mentioned: sulpha in the drugs from Big Pharma are not to be confused with MSM, a sulfur compound. When taking drugs, the side effects are often enough worse than the drugs, not only re discomfort but also long term side effects. Nothing could be further from the truth with MSM. People are often put off when embarking on a path of self healing because of the detox discomforts. Head aches, rashes, itch, a recurring cold sore on lips and many other signs of detox are often interpreted as being an indication of doing the wrong thing and one stops with the process. Thinking that instead of getting better one is getting worse. A healing path is often marked by getting worse before one gets better. The toxins leaving the body are responsible for this. It is common that detox symptoms are confused with being an allergy to whatever is taken. Learn about the meaning of detoxing and , although uncomfortable at times, you will be grateful knowing that the nasty stuff is actually leaving the body. Sulfur in MSM is an organic compound whereas sulfa as we know it in the many drugs is a synthetic. MSM is not just something that can be taken as a pain killer. Yes, it does help in getting rid of pain. The way it works is that it helps the body to get rid of toxins underlying whatever infection or inflammation was your reason for taking the MSM in the first place. Although most times when we eliminate we do not experience very clear detox symptoms, MSM will help detox and may result in a rash, itch, headache, or other less comfortable symptoms to start with. They will be temporary, from anywhere to an hour to a couple of days. The toxins have to be released. It is important to start of with low doses: 3x 1/4 teaspoon, observe what happens, and if you feel comfortable, increase it to 1/2 teaspoon and so on. http://www.health-n-energy.com/ARTICLES/9artmsminfo.htm www.curezone.com and look for detox forums.
