Guest guest
RE:Chrysler Engineer, 5-15MPG more in 2 Minutes, all cars. From a Chrysler Corporation Engineer.... Get 5 to 15MPG BETTER than you are now, INSTANTLY. This is one trick you have NEVER EVER seen in the media or on TV before. I am going to tell you how to improve your fuel economy in your car RIGHT NOW, this will give you a good 5 to 15 more Miles Per Gallon (MPG), depending on your vehicle and how you are driving. May 3, 2008 9:17 PM A response from my email list – which I sent to Steve: " Some of the cars have transmission problems if they coast long distances. It worked WELL for me on some cars downhill, but a Mazda sedan needed the transmission replaced after I did what is suggested [$2300 USD]. There are 22 sensors and it is very convoluted inside. So beware. " TT If true - which cars? Thanks Steve! Hawk May 3, 2008 9:26 PM re: your email: Get 5 to 15MPG BETTER than you are now, INSTANTLY. complete BS Steve May 3, 2008 9:31 PM Not a very technical answer - more detail please. Hawk May 3, 2008 9:55 PM no...I'm not going to waste my time responding to what every idiot says, feel free to believe the more detailed answer you already have. " There are 22 sensors and it is very convoluted inside. So beware. " Steve Update: 5-12 I talked to 2 mechanics I consider knowledgeable, plus did some further research. Conclusion: May or may not hurt a transmission – depending on type but even in neutral you are using gas, savings if any would be very little. Guest guest
There are several ways to save on Gas for sure! The first way to save on Gas is, sell your SUV. The second way to save Gas is, give yourself plenty of time to get to your destination, slow down, and stop speeding down the road. Not only will this save you Gas, but will also save on tickets and insurance. Relax on the way to your destination; get some recordings for your university on wheels. It is proven that the less your engine has to work; you will get better fuel economy. I hope this helps some people settle down. The roads are way to stressful. Get 5 to 15MPOkay, I will try just about anything so I started putting my car in neutral and coasting to the intersection. I have only been doing city stop and go driving these last few weeks. I also turned on my consumption meter which shows up on the computer screen and watched it. I filled my tank with benzine and reset the meter. I drive a Lexus RX 300, and I use standard Euro 95 benzine. I have just about one quarter tank left and here are my results, My overall consumption average since this vehicle was born is 16.9 L /100km, since starting this test my current consumption with this tank is now 15.4 L/100km. So this works. I have dropped a full 1.5 liters per 100 km. Craig
Guest guest
Yep, and you will probably wear your brakes out sooner also. Especially going down hill in neutral like was suggested. Might even end up with a few warped rotors too. There are some hills, such as coming down off Pikes Peak where they have pullouts so you can let your brakes cool off. There are some hills, such as coming down off Pikes Peak where they have pullouts so you can let your brakes cool off. I guess you haven't tried it then and are only SUPPOSING what would happen. I use my brakes less, as I am more alert so I can coast to the intersection, where before I would let off the gas and use more brakes, the typical speed up and slam brakes to stop that is typical in city driving. I don't know how I could end up with warped rotors, even if I used my brakes more. As for pikes peak, I used a standard shift vehicle when coming down it. I f one were to use an automatic, you would need the option of a slow granny gear on the tranny. Harvey, are in in the oil business by any chance?
