Guest guest
I have a few questions regarding using the salt C protocol. I have been on it for three weeks and up to 6 grams per day. I have also been experiencing an exacerbation of chronic lyme symptoms, such as intense pain upon movement..muscles and joints tight and inflammed much more than usual...the question always is, is this herxing or is this creating a further imbalance? A friend mentioned that it is a common side effect if one doesnt take extra potassium, to have this protocol upset the electrolyte balance. Given my aldosterone levels (that help regulate sodium in the body) are compromised already, I decided to go off the salt C for two days, today I awoke feeling a sense of relief, as the tightness and inflammation are no longer present....Im wondering if anyone else has had this reaction to using the salt C and if some kind of testing of electrolyte levels should be done while subjecting the body to continued salt intake while having a compromised immune system???
