New USGS Report Has Geologists and

The latest USGS report released last night states California has a greater than 99% chance of having a 6.7 mag. or larger quake within the next 30 years. This is about as accurate and meaningful as saying: "There will be a 99% chance a hurricane will hit Florida with in the next 6 months. Or there is a 99% chance a tornado will hit the great central plains within the next 90 days. Oh, how about this one ---- Gas prices will go up within the next 30 minutes.

This new report is simply "embarrassing". I bet the USGS team had to flip a coin on who was going to have their name attached to it. Stupid announcements like this one make those of us who seriously study geo-sciences and try to assess current patterns and historical cycles, to best make us "aware and prepare" hide under a rock (assuming it is not a rolling rock which was predicted 30 years ago).

Folks, I will go on record right this minute with full knowledge of my credibility being subject to discredit. "There will be a major earthquake in California within the next 3 years. But I'm not stopping there. I further predict there will be several major earthquakes along the Pacific Rim within the next 18 months. But there is more. I expect major volcanic eruptions along the Ring-of-Fire within the next 12 months."

Whoever allowed some knucklehead to release this silly USGS news release has made the geological and seismological society run for the hills in shame. On the other hand, it is a great group of researchers and are probably having the laugh of their lives while standing around the water-cooler. I think I heard one senior member say to another ---- "hey, I bet the population will buy this nonsense, I mean they bought James Hansen's 'global warming' scam didn't they". Oh, and what about the "lets invade Iraq -- they were behind the 9/11 attack, weren't they"

The new study determined the probabilities that different parts of California will experience earthquake ruptures of various magnitudes. The new statewide probabilities are the result of a model that comprehensively combines information from seismology, earthquake geology, and geodesy (measuring precise locations on the Earth's surface). For the first time, probabilities for California having a large earthquake in the next 30 years can be forecast statewide.

Thousands Flee as Colombian Volcano Erupts in Ash Shower

Bogota, Colombia - Colombia's Nevado del Huila volcano erupted in a shower of hot ash, prompting thousands of people to leave their homes on Tuesday. The remote volcano, 150 miles (240 kilometers) southwest of Bogota, erupted shortly before midnight Monday and appeared less active at daybreak.

The extent of the eruption was not clear, but even minor eruptions could cause landslides and flooding by melting the snow and ice cap atop the 17,484-foot (5,330-meter) volcano, and authorities maintained a red alert for settlements near the volcano.

2nd Gulf of Tonkin Incident Attempted by US Navy

BAHRAIN - Several reports from highly placed sources in the Pentagon have whispered the Bush administration is provoking Iran to react prior to the end of Bush's term. A United States Coast Guard vessel, USS Typhoon (PC 5), had to fire off a flare to warn away three small, unidentified boats, which were visibly approaching the American patrol ship in the Persian Gulf on Thursday. According to various media reports, the boats were Iranian.

Lt. Nathan Christensen, spokesman for the U.S. Navy's Fifth Fleet told AHN on Friday, "The USS Typhoon, a Coast Guard patrol boat, was heading from the central to the northern [Persian] Gulf when it was approached by the high-speed boats - [The USS Typhoon] did not receive any response from bridge to bridge radio communication. Upon receiving no response, Typhoon activated a warning flare."

Preparing For Coming Earth Changes

I have begun to note it is not just the "external" (earth changes) which is shifting, but humans as well. Remember: we too have magnetic fields which surround each of us. I think it is not unrealistic to conjecture what is happening "externally" is also happening "internally". I believe current science will acknowledge this notion, showing the Sun's "charged particles" and its influence on Earth's magnetic field is the impetus of change. In-like, this same causal effect occurs with human magnetic fields ushering in a change or "transition". Perhaps this is what our Mayan elders are trying to tell us---

We are coming into "cycle 24" which was predicted "live" on ECM Radio Hour by NASA stating cycle 24 will be up to 50 percent stronger than "Cycle 23" in which we witnessed the largest solar flare ever recorded. This means larger earth changing events in the way of earthquakes, volcanoes, hurricanes, and various storms.
