Guest guest
There are some here that question the need for and use of Statins ad other cholesterol lowering medications.... It is right that we should question things, and not accept 'here take this' from our doctor's with blind faith...... do you own reading and research..... This following is yet another place to get information..... I call it 'credible' information, but then I am biased against whatever Big Pharma is trying to push onto us...... In particular the radio broadcast is honest and informative. Cheer's from Clare in Tasmania Passing this along for your information Yesterday a half-hour program was aired by BBC Radio 4 based on information from some of our British members. If you still think that statin treatment is good for you, please listen! In this weeek´s issue of The New England Journal of Medicine the report from the unsuccesful ENHANCE trial was published, almost two years after it had been terminated. Not unexpectedly, at least for those who have been informed by THINCS´ members, a further lowering of cholesterol by a non-statin drug did not improve the angiographic changes of the coronary arteries; on the contrary. Read Sandy Szwarc´s report! Or the article by Ron Winslow in Wall Street Journal!Links to the above are available from our website www.thincs.org.
