I've gotten some posts from a couple of people who live in China, and they had different headings on them, although I don't exactly remember what they were right now. I know I would have noticed the UK part, as I have family that lives in the UK. ....Just curious.......... One other thing - I'm curious about - why do you think Oprah is our best hope? And, just one comment - Oprah is pretty much free to do whatever she wants. While she doesn't actually own the Oprah Winfrey show, she's got an incredible amount of pull - and pretty much does what she wants...........She owns all kinds of other things, including the magazine she publishes, is head of a huge media company, owns her own network, and is considered to be the most powerful woman in entertainment. Currently, she's worth about $1.4 billion. What Oprah wants, she gets. When Oprah talks, people listen..... Lynn I am in China, and don't watch TV anyway, yet I still hear some things about Oprah The last I heard was that she had Eckhart Tolle as a guest. Now I would be very surprised if anyone had any mud to sling at Eckhart Tolle. His over-all message of " The Power of Here and Now " is extremely difficult to argue with. Now, we know that Oprah is an astute woman, and that she is never going to invite a guest with whom she doesn't have similar vibrations. So we can assume that she is on her way to vibrating in a similar way to Eckhart Tolle. We can also assume that she isn't as free to do what she might really like to do, because she has to answer to her controllers. We all express our truth in different ways, and we all interpret other truths in different ways. Take any truth about God, for example. Before we can make an assessment regarding true or false, we have to understand our own truth about God. We all have a different understanding The word God has been used in so many different contexts, that no two people have the same idea. I therefore think her idea is to try to eliminate the word god, in order to eliminate the misunderstanding. I believe that I not able to readily contact anything more subtle than what I call my highest self. This is as big as my mind is capable of going. I know that there is the rest of infinity out there, but I have accepted that it is beyond my grasp. This gives me the great benefit of being able to cease the never-ending search for a while, and to take a rest, and to look around, and smell the flowers, and begin to appreciate what Eckart Tolle is telling us all. His ideas of God are well worth a listen, or read and for sure Oprah has listened to it, if not read it. Echart's books are available as audio books, read by himself.). Please be careful when you use terms like New Age claptrap. This is also another very misunderstood term. We all have our own idea of what New Age means. But about some of it there is little doubt. The foundatios of the so-called new-age movement are the writings from or ancient sages of several thousand years ago, and they, more than anything else we may discuss, have stood the test of time. I was lucky to be introduced gently to the ancient Hindu understanding, as enhanced by the ideas of the Yogis, through a series of books by Yogi Ramacharaka.I have some of them on my website as follows. (If anyone would like an e-mailed copy then please let me know. I haven't yet worked out how to include a download facility (or search) in my website). The books were written in the early 1900s, and are now free of copyright, and available as free downloads from Gutenberg press and other places. The following works by Yogi Ramacharaka are available on this site We would recommend reading them, in the following order: The Hindu-Yogi Science of Breath -A Complete Manual of The Oriental Breathing Philosphy of Physical, Mental, Psychic and Spiritual Development. Fourteen lessons in Yogi Philosophy and Oriental Occultism Hatha Yoga -The Yogi Philosophy of Physical Well-Being A Series of Lessons in Raja Yoga - The Yoga of the Mind - Psychic Healing The Kybalion - A Study of the Hermetic Philosophy of Ancient Greece and Egypt A Series of Lessons in Gnani Yoga (The Yoga of Wisdom.) Advanced Course in Yogi Philosophy and Oriental Occultism http://dgwa1.fortunecity.com/mind/breath.html Having got the advert out of the way, I would like to summarise by saying that I agree that Oprah is a very powerful woman, and I believe that she is the best hope that we have got. Incredibly few of the main media presenters are awake yet, but they are telling us what to do. Who in their right mind is going to listen to the ramblings of someone who is asleep?
