(I strain while it is still warm, shortly after I remove from heat, it is alot easier to strain)-Strain through fine colander. (I use cheese clothe)-When completely cooled, add scented oil. ( I also add a little aloe vera)-Transfer to a wide-mouthed jar with lid. Notes: Use as you would any hair gel product. I try to make this hair gel every week. I love it! Just thought I would throw this out there to you'all that use hair gel.......this is even better, no chemicals and you can add whatever essential oils you like and your hair smells so fresh. I get alot of compliments that I smell good (I don't use perfume, then I remember it's my hair gel) Good Luck! NEVER GIVE UP ON THE PEOPLE YOU LOVE. Guest guest
Hi Jane....I hope my describing is helpful,as it is a bit hard to describe......It is a slimy texture, unlike store gel it doesn't seperate easily, but does good rubbed between your palms. It is not too thick, but holds together good. As far as a hair gel goes, I acually like this better than store bought, it makes my hair feel thicker. Hope this helps. Let me know. Guest guest
Thanks Tracy - are you able to use the flaxseed for anything afterwards or do you discard it? I'm wondering how this might go with Chia seeds too, Jane - " mrstracythomas " <tsmmm Tuesday, April 08, 2008 1:01 AM Re: Homemade Scented Hair Gel (hair gel without the chemicals) Hi Jane....I hope my describing is helpful,as it is a bit hard to describe......It is a slimy texture, unlike store gel it doesn't seperate easily, but does good rubbed between your palms. It is not too thick, but holds together good. Guest guest
Jane, Not real sure of what all you could do with the used seeds, I have been just tossing them out in my yard(I am going to grow an organic vegetable garden this summer, will probably throw on that). I am not familiar with Chia seeds, but now have something new to research. Thanks! Take Care, Tracy --- In , " Jane MacRoss " <highfield1 wrote: > > Thanks Tracy - are you able to use the flaxseed for anything afterwards or > do you discard it?
