Guest guest
ive been going to a chiropractor once every 2 weeks for a year now and yes it has worked great. i had terrible posture, forward neck, hunch back and now 80 percent of that is fixed. Ive been doing this neck exercise where you put a mask like thing on with a 5 pound ball hanging off of it and you lie on your back and lean off the bed a little. Ive been doing it for 2 months with no problems, but after thursday.. I got up after doing it and i almost passed out and i was very dizzy and had like a vertigo feeling whatever that is. It happened again saturday after doing ab crunches. I also get dizzy if i bend forward and lean over and my left ear does ring a little . it has been ringing for ten years but with the chiro adjustments about 50 percent of that went away. Its hard to explain if its a almost passed out feeling, dizziness, vertigo, glazed eyes, offbalance because ive never passed out or been dizzy before ever. But about 20 percent of that has came back and i also get a dizzy like So do i have ear trouble, stroke symptoms,, is it a part of the healig process. Did i overdue the stretching , thanks for any help. I will see him again on tuesday and tell him
Guest guest
Chris, Although I have no real answers for you, as a matter of fact, I was just going to ask advise for a similar problem a dear friend of mine has. I spoke to her last night after she was absent since Thursday. She describes similar problems like you are experiencing. Thursday afternoon, she became dizzy, feeling nauseated and thought that she might have to go outside, fresh air. She decided to go shopping after lying down made things much worse. Her next memory is of waking up on the stretcher in the emergency dept., totally blacked out. The doctors have no idea what caused it. She still has the dizziness and noticed that if she lies down in a particular way, it worsens to the degree she is scared. Indicating the right side of her neck is side which appears to make things worse. I reminded her that she had this happening about 18 months back. When it happened then, I suggested to her to have a cup of tepid water with 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper (she didn't have the tincture) followed by some extra water, and also to have extra magnesium. This must have worked well because she never followed my suggestion to go and see a doctor at that time. The scare of last Thursday (and not remembering what she had done 18 months back, cayenne and magnesium) she is seeing a manual therapist to determine if something is pinched in her neck. My question to the forum here is: has anyone got more experience with this which sounded like a mini stroke (Transient Ischaemic Attack or TIA) to me or restricted bloodflow (carotid artery)? What suggestions could be given to her if today's therapist fails to come up with a clearer diagnosis? I think she said she thought the carotid artery was pinched , and not enough blood flow. Sounds as the chiros have twisted the neck in such a way that something has gotten pinched. Only thing that really makes sense.......many years ago, I sat with my arms bent, on a hard surface, hand to chin. Something went funny, and every since then when I bend my arms for any period, the last three fingers on my hand go numb. From what both people have said, definitely sounds as though a cause and effect sort of thing.... Lynn I had to quit going to the Chiropractor, as the adjustment to the neck caused me to be dizzy. I started taking Natures Life Magnesium plus B6 500 mg a day The dizziness gradually went away, About 2 weeks ago I went and he adjusted the neck and right away I was dizzy. I do also use other things I am positive that the magnesium is what I needed.
