Guest guest
What is increase? Sincerely Barb M. What I have read says that people ended up paying about 27 percent actually for all the services that the church provided like our government does today. ( some went for the temple and upkeep etc. ) Sincerely Barb M. ---- thehavens 4/6/2008 10:03:05 AM Re: REMINDER!!! TODAY!!!!! Guest guest
At 10:29 AM 4/6/2008, you wrote There isn't....unless one continually does 10% on everything. A tithe is supposed to be on what you get - it is assumed, one has already tithed on what one has. Lynn So what's the difference between a tenth part or 10%? I don't know where you got your 27% figure - I would think church upkeep, minister's salary, various costs would vary from church to church. Perhaps what you read, was saying 27% of what they got. Even so, I still think it would differ from place to place. But for those who don't understand tithing - it's supposed to be 10% of what you get. Not what you have......... Lynn What is increase? Guest guest
But what if we've already given 50% of all we get and all we do to the gvt? Sure Caesar and all that - but is it pre or post tax that this is estimated on? Jane - Lynn Ward Monday, April 07, 2008 7:47 AM Re: Re: REMINDER!!! TODAY!!!!!
