Guest guest
Hi Lisa, Wow!6 yr old quads, what a handful that must be, and I am sure you being deaf only leads to the challenge. Ahh yes menopause can be very hard on any relationships that we have. I remember especially at first I was a B on wheels. I would hear myself say something awful, and think, did I really say that. Sometimes I could hear myself saying these awful things, I knew it was wrong, but I could not stop myself from saying them. I am sure my daughter and co-workers were very relieved when I got that problem under control. I have been hearing them say that more and more problems are popping up from women that have been on hormone replacement for years, including cancer. Makes me so mad! Well lets see you had a pretty good list of issues, I would say the fractured bones are low bone density. If you are taking calcium you might want to check it out, many of them do not soak into your body to really do you any good. You should definitely be on good calcium, and make sure that it has vit D with it. My bone density became low, and then of course the Dr. had to put me on a script for that too. I stopped taking that script, and started taking the good calcium, and my bone density is good now. For the " creepy crawlies " I would say that is probably nerves. Your body is going through a lot right now due to the lack of estrogen, and the stress of your body changing. I would recommend that you take really good vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Sounds like your body would benefit from that a lot. Loss of hair, nails, and break outs could all be from the lack of good nutrition. Again you have to be careful about which ones you buy, most over the counter ones have a lot of filler in them, and not the right percentages of nutrition. Good supplements can also help you with the short term memory loss. Now I do not know for sure on that weight loss, I on the other had gained weight. Had the headaches and body aches, all the hot and cold flashes, aren't they fun. I would say if you are taking the black cohosh, Valerian, and omage 3, and still having this many issues that it is not doing the trick. Maybe you need one that is just for menopause, and again check out the ones you are taking, some brands are better than others. For the crying, I do not know how to stop that one. Heck I can cry at any thing, even a commercial on TV sometimes. If it hits me just right, then here comes a few tears, makes me so mad. If you are having " temper tantrums " that is a sure sign that you are not getting enough estrogen. That was kind of like I was when I would open mouth and blurt out what ever came to mind. I just did not have any control over what I was saying at all. You need to stay away from Pop, diet or not, it will make your nerves worse. Any thing with caffeine will cause your nerves to be worse. Lots of sugary foods, or foods with preservatives in them might also cause your body to do weird things. If you like green tea that would be a good thing to drink everyday. Put some lemon in it, you get more of the good stuff out of it. I put a little honey in mine instead of sugar. Ok, things to help with the stress is deep breathing, and meditation if you can find the time. It only takes 5 or 10 minutes, 20 would be better, but I am guessing you might not have time for that. If you like to take a bath soak in the tub, and meditate for a few minutes. There is also something called visualization that might help. Think of a place real or not that you would like to be, and think of a color that calms you. If you practice this some, you can go there when you think your might be going over the top. Any thing that you can think of that will relax you would be good. Lisa, I hope this helps you, if I think of anything else I will let you know. You hang in there, and remember it will not be forever, even though it seems like it. Hope you have a great day!!! I am still fighting with awful menopausal symptoms that are affecting me outside and inside my life. Shame on my doctor who didn't prepare me for the menopausal shock that followed immediately after the surgery. Personal bio: a single deaf mom to a set of 6 years old quadruplets which may be unique to others and don't know how to communicate with me due to my unique case. I also have a 3 year relationship...it went from wonderful to doubtful due to my emotional and mental issues thanks to the menopause. I also live with my mother and it is like oil and vinegar since the surgery. I am not sure if you wish to email in private or share what we know and have experienced with others. > > The menopausal symptoms that I have experienced in the past year and still continue (not all): > > 1.
