Good job---hehe... I myself am taking Sustainable Community Development and am totally behind working at the community level---which is the only way we are going to turn this thing around. I have an issue with this 'positive' thinking ritual. I think it takes both to tango. The thing that really bugs me is the automatic assumption that because one is willing to look unfolding events in the face---that one is afraid. What an assumptive position. To me the trick is to be able to look everything in the face---and still come up loving it all. Now there's a challenge....(wink) Peace BeaMary Jo Fahey <maryjofahey wrote: Hi Bea and Flyingon2000, I've learned some interesting things about fear that I would like to relay. He gave me some background information and said that "Anastasia" is the first book of a series written by a Russian named Vladimir Megre. He said Russia has had a dwindling population because of the

country's problems—pollution, bad economy, etc. However, the Ringing Cedars books have caused people to have hope. He said 10 million copies of the first book were sold in Russia and the books have become very popular in the U.S. Russians who read the books are forming eco villages and the books have prompted a new back-to-the-land movement. BTW: I learned that Russia gives a free 600 meter X 600 meter plot of land to any citizen who is interested (35 million Russians have taken the government up on this offer). I was intrigued when I heard abou the Ringing Cedars books because I'm Weston Price Chapter leader in Madison, WI. We've been running a gardening project that is now in its 2nd year (we're encouraging people to learn how to grow their own food—due to the bumps in the economy). The Ringing Cedars books read like novels and they tell the story of Vladimir's encounters with a young girl in Siberia whose name is Anastasia. Her extraordinary abilities (connections to plants and animals—as well as her psychic abilities) give the impression that she's a fictional character. Regardless of whether Anastasia is a fictional character, the things she says are very inspiring. There are also some interesting points made that correspond to the the thread that's described in the Subject line of this e-mail (Food Prices, promoting fear). Here's a quote from book #2 (Anastasia's grandfather's comments to Vladimir): "Prophets who believe in and talk about the end of the world—they themselves are producing mental visualizations of the end of the world. The whole mass of teachings foretelling the

ultimate doom of mankind, are hastening the day with their visualizations." The idea that we create our reality with our thoughts/emotions is a theme in Lynn Grabhorn's "Excuse Me: Your Life is Waiting." She says the frequency of energy associated with fear—attracts experiences to make a person more fearful (like attracts like—not the opposites attract idea that is associated with magnets). Similarly, the frequency of energy associated with joy attracts positives—so much so that she says the emotional feelings associated with creative visualizations are the key (none of the other creative visualization books mention the emotional component—they all say that our "thoughts" create our reality. Lynn says it's the emotional component that is critical). When I read Lynn's book, I checked to see what Jane Roberts' Seth had to say about emotions. In The Nature of Personal Reality he says, "Imagination and emotions

are the most concentrated forms of energy that you possess as physical creatures. Any strong emotion carries with it far more energy than, say, that required to send a rocket to the moon." The Ringing Cedars books seem to indicate that if we see (creative visualizations) a positive future—that is what will happen. The Aborigines, the oldest society on the planet, believe that they create their reality with their "dreams." I don't think we can succeed 100% in creating our personal reality—because we are tied to each other (the "mass events" that Seth speaks about in one of the other Seth books titled, The Indivudal and the Nature of Mass Events). However, it would help if *collectively* use our imaginations to visualize an EXTREMELY

positive future. I need to do some public speaking soon (in April and May) and I've been working on positive things to say—to get people revved up (the frequency of positive emotion). And excuse me---but there is a greater law than Bush's law and that is your children's survival--and that is the greatest responsibility--one that you take on when you become a parent. Bush is not going to come and feed your kids or share his plunder. The natural way to deal with all this is to form communities where we all share whatever we are good at---and live within the bioregional system as much as possible. Promoting the hoarding of food causes shortages and the hoarders are the onesw responsible for the cost going up because of supply and demand issues. Relax. The stock market crashes everytime

someone like this starts instilling these fears. Life has its cycles. Let it work itself out without fearing the worst but promoting positive thought and prayer.

You rock. That's why Blockbuster's offering you one month of Blockbuster Total Access, No Cost.

Hi Bea and Flyingon2000,

I've learned some interesting things about fear that I would like to

relay.

Recently, I've been reading the Ringing Cedars books. I've almost

finished book #2 and there are 8 books in the series.

A client of mine introduced me to the books. He said, " Have you

ever heard of a book called Anastasia? " I said no... never.

He gave me some background information and said that

" Anastasia " is the first book of a series written by a Russian

named Vladimir Megre.

He said Russia has had a dwindling population because of the

country's problems—pollution, bad economy, etc.

However, the Ringing Cedars books have caused people to have hope. He

said 10 million copies of the first book were sold in Russia and the

books have become very popular in the U.S.

Russians who read the books are forming eco villages and the books

have prompted a new back-to-the-land movement.
