My brother was telling me of a tree which we are not certain what the name of it is. Something " like " Valley Gilly Bud. Supposedly the buds can be used for burns? Anyone know any information about it? Please let me know. Thanks, Marsha -- People are like stained glass windows: they sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light within.

Sorry, my brother was remembering it from when he was younger. He wants to go to the Old Home Place and see if the trees are still there. Thanks, Marsha Karly Gray <karly.gray wrote: Can you post a picture of it? balsam fir; use the sap

bear berry; use the leaf

cottonwood; buds cooked with goat fat

elder; bark used to make salve

hemlock; leaves

iris; mashed roots

yarrow; leaves
