Guest guest
The Jack LaLane juicer is wonderful. Easy to clean and easy to put back together and the mouth is wide. We had the Norwalk juicer and it takes longer to clean the machine than to make juice. It is certainly the best juicewise as the juice is pressed out via hydraulic press, but it was really a pain to keep clean as I wanted it to be as shiny and new as the day we got it since the thing cost about $1800. Sold it on ebay. Then we got the Greenstar. That is a nice one but for some reason once we put it away, we just didn't get it back out very much. Heavy to handle and lots of pieces to keep track of. We still have that one in the cabinet. It does make excellent juice as the carrots are grinded. I think my resistance to the Green star is that you had to be careful or you would have a mess. Then we got the Jack Lalane. Good juice, easy to clean. More waste than the Greenstar. I think it uses centrifugal force, which supposedly heats the juice. It is recommended to run the machine 20 minutes, then wait 5 or 10. Champion also uses centrifugal force and the negative with that one is that the pulp is collected in the basket inside the juicer. Jack's collects in a container outside the machine and we put a plastic grocery bag in it for quicker clean up. Anyway, out of the four we prefer the Jack Lalane, mostly because of the cleanup time for the machine and the wide mouth that accepts 4 carrots instead of one. Pulp is not as dry as the others but to us that is okay. Marie
