I'll be making tincture once the local plants bloom, but in the

meantime I bought some NOW brand (www.nowfoods.com) SJW tincture, and

it's dark brown, not reddish at all, and has a nasty taste reminiscent

of wormwood or chaparral. ASAP, I'm going to order some SJW from

HerbPharm, a brand I trust. But does anyone know what's up with the

NOW tincture? Could it be mis-labeled, or maybe they just have

low-quality processing, and/or low-quality materials? The bottle says

it's been fortified with standardized extract. Is that what makes it

so weird?

thanks, blessings,

greta
