Guest guest
Good afternoon all. I am in need of help. I just got off of antibiotics (Flagyl) and am having the misery that accompanies. I have my first case of thrush, metallic taste in my mouth that won't go away, and I am queasy on my stomach. Don't want anymore traditional meds (didn't want that but had a tooth pulled and needed antibiotics). Peppermint tea isn't calming my stomach. In fact around 1:00am I " gave back " the dosage of the meds that I took last night. I have no appetite (yet another side effect) but was required to eat to take the medication. Anything other than peppermint tea for calming the queasy? Anything to do about the thrush? Anything I can do to get the metallic taste out of my mouth (beside increasing water intake which I have been doing). (I am going to search previous posts to see if this has been discussed but if anyone can answer now I would greatly appreciate). Thanks Me
Guest guest
HI! My son in law had some dental work done too and he had alot of infection did the round of antibiotics and he also got the thrush. My daughter went to the herb store and got him the colloidal silver. HE gargled it and it went away. Also anytime I take antibiotics I end up with a yeast infection. You should perhaps think about getting some accidophilus for your stomach as well for any yeast infections. I have alot of stomach problems and when I take my accidophilus I can tell a big difference. IT puts back the GOOD bacteria that the antibiotics destroy. Also, Yogurt, Buttermilk has good bacteria that helps restore what has been depleted. Someone correct me if i am incorrect. Thanks, MarshaMe <p31ladee wrote: Good afternoon all. I am in need of help. Guest guest
Lots of Acidophilus ( 6 capsules or more a day ) until the thrush is under control, then take at least 3/day for at least a month or more. Catnip, Fennel and ginger are all good for settling the stomach. Good Luck sara > Good afternoon all. I am in need of help.
