need help: sluggish thyroid. what herbals are best?

Any help I can be provided with is greatly appreciated. I have a 14yr old with autism that has a very sluggish thyroid. He is already on a ton of meds, so if I can go natural to stimulate his thyroid, that would be best. Does anyone have any herbals they can recommend for improving thyroid function? I am desperate, he has zero energy, and is 50 pounds overweight. Help is appreciated. Cat
