I would get over it and then it would hit again. Over the Christmas holidays, I had my tonsils removed. My sister took 2 of her kids in and they had strep. We had a new Physicians Assistant working and she asked if there was any one that wasn't getting strep out of our bunch. It was my son!! She tested him and he carried strep with no symptoms. I believe she called it "type A systematic". (It's been a few years, so I may have that name wrong.) What it is...some folks can carry the germ and just pass it on to others, showing no symptoms themselves. Once she cleared my son of the germ, everyone else cleared up.
