What is recommended when a child (age 11)who appears to be very healthy has

a lot of white spots on his fingernails? I understand the white spots shows

a nutritional deficiency.

Dear Donna,

 

I am not sure about herbs but I have a friend who had Rheumatoid Arthritis

in her

early 30s. she took several meds and at times had to be literally carried

in for

shots. It also affected her breathing and had frequent eye problems.

she decided she didn't want to spent the rest of her life like this so she

made

radical diet changes. She gave up meat and diary and juiced carrots

everyday

and put a barley green type product in each juice. Today she is 51, looks

like she's in her mid 30s, works as a server in an upscale restaurant,

doesn't

take any meds and works circles around all of us. I have known her thru

all

of this and I am amazed.

She says her only complaint is that if she doesn't drink enough water, her

hip hurts like

the old days.

What is the issue? Was it some lack at birth, due to improper care of

oral hygiene while growing up, sucking down sugar drinks day in and

day out, improper diet which led to lack of calcium. Did she ever get

hit in the mouth when her baby teeth were still in place and perhaps

she actually bruised and damaged the adult teeth below?
