This is a 2 parter :o) So thanks for bearing with me:

First, Multivitamins... I was talking with a good friend tonight and

she said that she has given up on multivitamins because every time she

tries taking them, she gets bad bathroom problems. I've never heard of

that before! Is there a reason for this? and is there anything I can

suggest for her? I thought maybe a whole food supplement, but she is

scared to try anything again... she works in a high paced job and says

she just can't afford to be running to the restroom every half hour.

Fortunately for me I work from my home, so these things don't matter

as much to me, but I can understand her frustration...

I personally don't take an actual multivitamin, though I do take a

whole food supplement along with some other herbal supplements which I

alternate, and I have never had this problem. I am fairly regular, and

before I started my regiments I suffered from IBS, so I was always

either going all the time or not enough... So I don't know what to

tell her. Could it maybe be due to another issue, such as her diet,

that she has this problem? I'd love to help her out on this if I can,

since she gets sick a lot and I'm sure adding healthy vitamins to her

diet would help this as well.

And secondly, I was wondering if anyone had any opinions/info on

Melatonin. I have always suffered from insomnia... mostly just because

I am a " stresser " and have problems turning off the brain when it

comes time to sleep. I like Valreian Mint tea, and it works great,

once I am asleep I STAY asleep after drinking this tea, but sometimes

it isn't enough to GET me to sleep. A friend suggested Melatonin,

since it's not " technically " a drug... I have tried it a few times,

and it does work, as long as I go to bed immediately after taking it.

But it knocks me out until something or someone wakes me, and usually

I wake up on my own after I am rested enough (Somewhere between 6-8

hours). I'm not convinced that the Melatonin is safe or good for me,

so I just wanted to see what anyone might have to say about this... I

am currently very busy with my first live show for my work coming up

in a week, and it is keeping me up pretty much ALL the time,

preparing, stressing, being excited and worrying all at the same time

(Laughing as I notice the time now is 4am)... I need something that

will help me sleep in a GOOD way, not just knocking me out. There's

GOT to be a happy medium! lol

I appreciate the help!!!

Love and Blessings!!! :o)
