Annie: Where do you purchase the Blue Vervain if I may ask? I am interested in herbals to eliminate strep bacteria. I have 2 boys with strep bacteria levels that are off the charts. They have been treated for "PANDAS" for 5yrs with Enrythemyecin(333mg 3x daily). My middle son's ASO titers were 1166 (normal human is supposed to be less than 200), my oldest son's ASO titers were 690. We are still treating the strep bacteria...recent ASO's although down, are still too high...570 on middle child and 483 on oldest.(oldest was down to 300, but 3 recent strep infections despite antibiotic treatments with Keflex has him back up in titer#'s requiring ERY treatments) I added in Manuka Oil to see if we could get this down, but I am not sure how sucessful this will be. Tastes (3 drops daily) is horid, starting rubbing manuka oil into the skin to see if this is perhaps a better way of

getting into the bloodstream. thanks cat <>< Jacquelyn Simon <jrsimon82 wrote: I find that elderberry extract in tincture/ hot tea form helps soothe strep throat. No matter what infection, I wouldn't be without it. It has a fairly bad taste to me, but my daughter absolutely loves the taste of it as soon as she gets strep. Otherwise, she doesn't like it. I have always been taught that when something that normally tastes bad tastes good to you, you need it at that point for whatever is bothering you. Seems to work this way for her. I always get her diagnosed by the doctor, take the prescription from him for the antibiotics, then throw out the

prescription when I get home. At that point, I usually know what it is anyway and she's been on the blue vervain already.
