Hi all,

I am writing this for my friend, who has PCOS.

We are trying to find herbal remedies, as Alopathy doesnt have very

much to offer in this. (birth control pills??)

We heard Fenugreek and Fennel seeds are good for hormone problems. Is

there any other suggestions?

We are desperate as this might cause lot emotional problems for my

friend. Is there any remedies known in Ayurveda?

Tks & Rgds

I have PCOS. When I stopped eating meat & dairy products and started exercising regularly my cycle become almost normal (I still skip a month at times, but not nearly as often) with little, if any, cramping, no clotting, and much smaller attitude changes. Not sure about the herbs you mentioned. I tried BC pills before I knew about the natural route. I lasted on them maybe 2 months. The mood swings were horrendous! Would be interested if anyone else has more knowledge. Hi there, I too have PCOS and belong to a group like this for living

with PCOS. (a good start for your friend.)

I have found by far the best thing is regular, high heart rate

exercise. Insulin plays a big part with this and high heart rate (as

in not just a stroll every day) helps with this.

Many girls on my list use chaste tree (Vitex) and have found this

has regulated their cycles. I have a fantastic article that I will

try and find about one woman who conquered her PCOS. Not sure if

there is mention of any allopathic medicines in the article but what

I remember was the inspiration for diet and exercise.

Good Luck and Let me know if I can be of any help.
