Guest guest
I had read of someone who had a limb that was swollen to twice its size due to congested lymph glands that were deeply affected by radiation. His naturopath gave him some tablets that cleared out the lymph nodes within about 24 hourse. Any ideas on what item that might have been?? I've yet to find any lymph cleanser that truly unclogs severly impacted lymph. thankyou in advance. regards, claire

Guest guest
I have seen articles/shows on that - its called lymphedema. from what I understaood the only thing they can do for it is certain types of massage to get circulation moving the built up fluids out of the stopped up lymphs. I have been trying to find the info on the types of massage myself but they said there arent medications for it. maybe the found something new since - last I heard on this was about a year ago but a library is sending me some massage info. if I can and you'd like I will pass it on to you as well. melisa
Guest guest
melissa , lymphatic drainage massage is a seperate specialized training . it is not included in regular massage training . i have been interested in learning it , but so far have not been able to afford the money it costs . i also believe it was a 3 weeks course . dont remmeber . doubt seriously , they would let a non-licencend person attend the training . gab ---- Melisa 05/17/06 12:13:24 herbal remedies Re: Herbal Remedies - lymph decongester I have seen articles/shows on that - its called lymphedema. from what I understaood the only thing they can do for it is certain types of massage to get circulation moving the built up fluids out of the stopped up lymphs. Guest guest
yes and no - there are 2 kinds. lymphatic massage and then the medical theraputic version which I cant think of the name offhand but it is technical like the difference between a neck rub from your spouse and a 1/2 on a table with a therapist. I was able to download instructions for lymphatic massage for the legs but that’s all. it is a 3 week course and from what I have read I'm not sure if they'd allow anyone to take it or not either. seeing as nurses arent always MTs but may be trained in this technique due to lymphedema patients. who knows. I wasn’t looking to take the class anyways, just wanted info on the technique itself. melisa
