Food poisoning remedy?

Was wondering if there were any remedies for food poisoning. My dh

has called home saying he is staying over at a friends house

to " sleep off " some effects of what he thinks was a bad egg-

literally. These are " fresh " eggs from a neighbor, that he suspects

weren't all that fresh (or perhaps defective as a cracked shell or

something).

Musing about what one would do in this situation I turned to my

newly aquired School of Natural Healing book (25th ann. eddition)

and found nothing for the specifics of " food poisioning " .

Granted he admonishes the mucusless diet, which in turn is a

vegitarian diet without the use of eggs or milk, but that doesnt

help me any at the moment.

From the materials and sections in the book that I have perused,

I've come to the conclusion that perhaps these would work best in

this situation:

Peppermint/Lobeilia- emetic purposes (I told him I would encourage

vomiting if he could to get the food out of his system)

Plantain/Red Clover as a blood purifier along with some Marshmallow

as a Demulcent to aid in calming and healing.

Also this is just a musing- type post, as I am still too new at the

herb identification to have access to any of these herbs without

killing my poor dh. The time frame prohibits purchasing/developing

tinctures etc. as everything would have to be mail ordered over the

internet ( I cant believe there isn't a natural foods or herb shop

in the the capital city of WV, or anywhere else within a decent

distance- argggg!)

Would this be a " proper " course of remedy for someone with food

poisoning?

Thinking to myself,

Jamie
